I am trying to not drop into hyper-fixations where I spend a dumb amount of money only to bail after all the chemicals in brain have oozed away. BUT DAMMIT I WANNA GET INTO FPV DRONES!

I watched Possible Worlds' video on drone flying in New York City, and it was one of the coolest things I'd seen in a long time. Equal parts skateboarding and cyberpunk, this is the future I've wanted. A weird, obscure, almost scary hobby that many don't know about and few understand.

They're talking about lines and flows and running up the Empire State building. The footage is wonky and lofi. Little to no money to make in it, just a lot of passion. Looks beautiful and it's clear that flying drones has brought a lot of people together who wouldn't have found each other without it.

A delight to see though I fear the capitalist that catches a whiff and starts messing with things. I do want people to make money doing something they love. We all gotta eat, but I hope they can do it on their terms with little impact into the people and hobby.

In other news I've been eyeballing a Radiomaster controller to practice in a simulator with. I talked myself out of it in my last therapy session as writing is the focus right now. Maybe in the future after I get a few more months of this blog under my belt.
