I'm not a car guy, but I know enough about cars because I live in America and need them to do damn near anything. I know that making a cheap, open source car may be a fools errand but I'm interested. But I'm excited to see Mutiny try.

When I was buying my first new car a decade ago, I wanted something reasonable to maintain, small in size but with space to load stuff. And affordable. I found the Kei truck and was close to pulling the trigger until I discovered the headroom.

Hopefully, this American-made Kei truck will have a bit more head and leg room. Or be easy enough to adjust. Even if it not, still great for the majority of people who need cheap, modular cars.

For all car guys, this might be a great opportunity to get on the ground floor of something.
